Nanjing

This guy is reading the newspaper which is posted each day on these display boards.

Ceiling inside the Presidential Palace.

I almost died of fright when I came across this 'Confucian scholar' at one of the temples. CREEPY!

Outside it was below zero and snowing, inside the greenhouse these guys were tending to some beautiful spring flowers. This was in the back of the Presidential Palace gardens.

The army guys line up ready to bust some snow. The straw brooms are pretty effective.

A fun way to watch the world go by.

These guys were installing lanterns for Chinese New Year. The guy on the scaffolding was bossing the others around, when one of the guys on the ground decided to wheel him off through the crowd. He thought it was hilarious and waved like the queen as he went by.

Fish hanging from street lights in the Fuzi Temple (which is now largely a mall area)

I was so cold from walking around I had to warm my numb feet around a cup of hot water.

Apartment building.
